Mrs. O's Creation Station!

Found this little guy in my mailbox!! This is why I go to work everyday!!! These kids are amazing!!!

Happy Halloween!! I needed a quick decorations! The pumpkins we actually did in class!!

I needed motivation for kids to continue doing art at home and to bring it in to show off!! Yeah this was a fantastic idea!!
BEFORE

AFTER
Huge difference!! This Art room needed some color!

Here are my rules, and my job chart! I have numbers on the tables, and the jobs on the board rotate. All the students know the function of each job after explaining them. I made them fun names like, Team Captain, Floor Captain, Table captain, etc.
On the far left, I have what we will be using that day, and if we will be taking it home, or turning it in.
And my rules are on the far right.
I have a small white board magnetic to the board for the "Bathroom Log" If you need to use the restroom, they sign this after holding up the three fingers. (Raise your hand rule: 1 finger: Sharpen pencil. 2 fingers: Tissue. 3 Fingers: Bathroom/Drink of water)

Saw this on Pinterest, and LOVED it! I had to do it!

My Reward System! Each class has their own Paint holder. They are allowed 2 paint chips per day. In order to get those I write the words "Free Draw" up on the board, and erase one letter at a time if they are being too loud, or rowdy. It seems to work really well!! Then if they have both words left up there at the end they get 2 paint chips. 1 word left, they only get 1, and if there is less then one word up there, they don't get any, and if I erase them all, I take one away that they've earned previously. There is a "EARN IT BACK" program. I have four flaps and on each it says: 1. Sit down quietly 2. Listen 3. Chore Chart done 4.Push in chairs  For each one they do they get to earn a letter back! 4 chances! So they have motivation after they lose letters.

Here is my desk area! It took some moving around, but I finally found the perfect spot for my desk! Love the view I have too! It shows Cache Valley and their beautiful mountains!

I decided to do a class tree. Every month we're going to design it with the season we're in. Since it's fall, we did hands of all different colors for the fall leaves. In November, I will take them all down, and we will begin making decorations for December. (My favorite Month)
